Welcome to Cortina Studios. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which govern your purchase of made-to-measure curtains and blinds.
1. General
Cortina Studios specializes in bespoke, made-to-measure curtains and blinds. All products are customized to the specific dimensions, fabric, and preferences chosen by the customer. Due to the personalized nature of our products, special conditions apply to ordering, cancellations, and returns.
2. Orders & Payment
• All orders are processed based on the measurements and specifications provided by the customer.
• A 60% deposit is required at the time of order confirmation, with the balance due before dispatch.
• Once the deposit has been received, the production process begins, and changes or cancellations may not be possible.
3. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Policy
• As all products are custom-made to each customer’s specifications, orders cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has started.
• We strongly recommend reviewing all measurements and details carefully before placing an order. Cortina Studios is not responsible for incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
4. Production & Delivery
• Standard production time is approximately three (3) weeks, though this may vary due to fabric availability or unforeseen delays.
• Delivery timelines provided at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed. Cortina Studios is not liable for delays caused by shipping providers or customs regulations.
5. Natural Fabric & Sewing Variations
• Due to the nature of fabric and the sewing process, minor variations in curtain waves and drop lengths (up to ±1 cm) may occur.
• A difference in floor clearance between curtain sides (e.g., 1.5 cm on one side and 2 cm on the other) is considered normal and does not qualify as a defect.
• Minor variations in fabric color, texture, and finish are also expected due to manufacturing processes and digital screen displays. These do not qualify as defects.
6. Defects & Warranty
• We take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship. If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at info@cortinastudios.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
• The warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not include normal fabric characteristics such as slight wave irregularities, fabric stretching, or color variations.
7. Liability & Indemnification
• Cortina Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the use or inability to use our products.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring proper installation and maintenance of their curtains and blinds.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin.
9. Installation
Cortina Studios partners with independent, insured installation professionals as a courtesy to our clients. While we coordinate to ensure the installation process is smooth and timely, all responsibility for the installation work, including any damage to surfaces or structures, rests with the installer. Any concerns or claims related to installation must be addressed directly with the installer.
